Christians are commanded to gather for worship to encourage one another in their faith (Hebrews 10.19-25). God has designed those worship activities to be effective. The task of saints is to understand and follow the instructions he has given.
\”The grace of God has appeared\” (Titus 2.11) so that those who receive it can see everything in a brand new light.
God\’s election of his people is a key theme in Romans. The truth of this doctrine is a source of real beauty and motivation when properly understood.
Romans 10.9-10 is a crucial passage to teach how to be saved from sin. These verses contain a beautiful promise of the salvation that God promises. But it doesn\’t mean what people often say it does.
In the book of Romans, Paul speaks passionately about the mission that God gave to him and to all saints. What we learn here should restructure the lives of all who follow Jesus and grants a higher purpose than anything we could find in this world.
Worldview is what really sets apart the people that follow Jesus. Paul\’s preaching in Corinth (recorded in his written reminders to the church in Corinth) was a shockingly new perspective for the people in that time and place. This new worldview still stands in sharp contrast to the world\’s ideas today.
But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Tim. 6:11-12,ESV)
